Come Bet
A come bet is virtually identical to a pass line bet, except that it is made after the shooter’s come-out roll. When you place a come bet, the first roll the shooter makes after your bet counts as the come-out roll for your and any other come bet made at that time. As with a pass line bet, a come bet immediately wins if a 7 or 11 is rolled on this come-out roll, or loses if the dice come up craps. Any other number establishes a point, and the dealer will move your come bet to the corresponding number on the layout. From this point, everything proceeds as if you had made a pass line bet; you win if the point is rolled again before a 7.
How to Make a Come Bet
To make a come bet, place your chips in the area on the layout that reads “Come.” You can make a come bet before any roll other than the shooter’s come-out roll.

The Come Bet During a Come-Out Roll for the Shooter
If you’ve made a come bet, the pass line bet may get
resolved before your come bet does. For instance, say a point of 9 is established for the pass line bet while a point of 6 is established for your come bet. If the shooter then rolls a 9, the pass line bet will be a winner, while your come bet will still be undecided. At this point, the shooter will have a new come-out roll.
In most casinos, the come bet is considered to be not working during the shooter’s come-out roll. In other words, the shooter’s come-out roll will have no effect on whether you win or lose the come bet—but any rolls after a point is established will then once again be active in determining the outcome of your come bet. Casinos make come bets inactive during the shooter’s come-out roll
because they don’t want to create a situation in which the pass line bettors are hoping for a 7 while those on the come bet don’t want a 7. If you want, though, you can tell the dealer to keep your come bet working during the shooter’s come-out roll, in which case the outcome of that roll can affect the outcome of your come bet.
Payout and House Edge for Come Bets
The payout and house edge for the come bet are identical to those for a pass line bet: an even-money payout and a house edge of 1.41%.
