The Hardways
Rolling a number the hardway means rolling doubles. For example, “10 the hardway” means rolling a 5-5. To win a hardway bet, the desired number must be rolled the hardway before a 7 is rolled and before the number is rolled any other way. All other rolls are irrelevant. For example, to win the “10 the hardway” bet, the shooter must roll a 5-5 before rolling any 7 or before rolling a 6-4.
How to Make a Hardways Bet
To place a hardways bet, tell the stickman which hardway you want and place your chips on the table. The stickman will move your chips to the proper area.

Hardways Payout and House Edge
The payout and house edge depend on which hardway
you choose:
Hardway |
Payout |
House Edge |
||
4 |
7 to 1 |
11.11% |
||
6 |

No matter which hardway bet you make, the house edge is steep. Avoid these bets.
