Types of Bets in Craps
Craps allows players a variety of ways to bet on the outcome of the shooter’s rolls of the dice. These different types of bets can be broken down into six types: pass line, come, odds, wrong betting, multi-roll bets, and single-roll bets. Each type of bet offers different odds and different payoffs—the worse the odds of winning a bet, the better the payoff it provides.
Before you start playing craps, though, it’s important to know that in craps there is always a house edge—the payoffs on all the types of bets are calculated so that the house is always more likely to win than you are. But the house edge is not equal for all the different types of craps bets, meaning that some bets are better than others.
