  • Rows 2–11(15, 15): Rep row 1. [Row 11(15, 15) is the RS of the sweater.] Fasten off, leaving a long tail to sl st the shoulders together.

  • Join the yarn in the last rnd before you started crocheting the front in the next dc after the last stitch of the first row of the front. Ch 4.
  • Rows 1–11(15, 15): Rep the directions for the front.

Joining the Shoulders

  • With RS of the sweater facing each other, sl st the shoulder seams tog, going into the top lp only on each stitch. Leave about 10" (101⁄2, 103⁄4)/25cm (27, 27) open in the middle for the neckline.

Edging

  • Rnd 1: From the RS, join yarn, ch 1, sc evenly along the neck edge. Join to the 1st ch with a sl st. Ch 1, do not turn.
  • Rnd 2: Sl st in same st as joining, *ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hk , skip 1 sc on neck edge, sl st in next sc. (1 picot made). Rep from * around. Join with sl st to 1st sl st.

Sleeves

  • The sleeves are worked in rounds.
  • Rnd 1: From the RS of the sweater, join the yarn in the dc on the left side of 1 of the underarms. Working along the edges of the rows of the bodice, ch 4, dc in the ch st at the end of the 1st row, *ch 1, dc at the end of the next row. Rep from * around; [23 (31, 31) dc]. Join with a sl st to the third ch. Ch 4, turn.
  • Rnd 2: Sk the 1st dc, *dc in next dc, ch 1. Rep from * around. Ch 4, turn.
  • Rnds 3 and 4: Rep rnd 2.
  • Rnd 5: Sk the first dc, *dc in next dc, ch 1. Rep from * around until you get to the last two dc. Dec dc in the last two dc, ch 1, join with sl st to third ch of tch; [ 22 (30, 30) dc]. Join as above.
  • Rnds 6–8: Rep rnd 2.
  • Rnd 9: Rep rnd 5; [21 (29,29) dc].
  • Rnds 10–12: Rep rnd 2.
  • Rnd 13: Rep rnd 5; [20 (28, 28) dc].
  • Rnd 14: Rep rnd 2.
  • Rnd 15: Rep rnd 5: [19 (27, 27) dc].
  • Rnd 16: Rep rnd 2.
  • Continue in this manner, dec on the next rnd and in every other rnd after that until you have 23 rnds; [15 (23, 23) dc]. Fasten off. (If you want your sleeves longer, just rep rnd 2 as needed.)
  • Repeat these directions on the other side of the sweater for the other sleeve.

Cuff Point on Sleeve

  • Fold sleeve in half to find the middle dc that lines up with the shoulder seam. Follow that dc to the bottom edge of the sleeve. Place a marker there. On the RS of the sleeve, at the bottom edge, attach yarn at the 3rd dc from the left of the center dc that you found.
  • Row 1: Ch 3, sk 1st dc, dc in next dc, *ch 1, dc in next dc. Rep from * 2 more times. Dec dc in next 2 dcs. Ch 3, turn.
  • Row 2: Sk 1st dc, *dc in next dc, ch 1. Rep from * 1 more time. Dec dc in last 2 dc. Ch 3, turn.
  • Row 3: Skip 1st dc. Dec dc in last 2 dc. Ch 1, do not turn.
  • Repeat these directions on the other sleeve.

Picot Edge

  • You’re working on the RS of the sleeve. Work the picot edge around the sleeve edge, keeping the stitches even and the picot edge flat. Start with a sl st in the next st, *ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hk, sk a distance on the sleeve edge, sl st (1 picot made). Rep from * around. Join with sl st to 1st sl st.
  • Repeat for the other sleeve.
