Getting Started
Each of the back and front pieces on this poncho (Motifs A, B, C, and D, 1 and 2) have decreases only on one side. Place a marker on the side of the piece where you will be making your decreases.
The top side pieces (Motif F) have decreases on both sides. You don’t need to place a marker on these pieces. When joining new yarn, join at the end of a row. The even numbered rows are worked on the right side of each piece.

You Will Need
- Color A, approximately 1200yd/1097m suede-look worsted weight yarn
- Color B, approximately 416yd/380m bulky weight bouclé yarn
- Hook, 10mm/N–15 or size needed to obtain gauge
- Stitch markers
- Yarn needle

- Chain stitch (ch)
- Single crochet (sc)
- Slip stitch (sl st)
Special Stitch Techniques
- Single crochet decrease (sc2tog). (Insert hook in next st, yo, draw yarn through st) twice, yo, draw yarn through 3 loops on hook.
- Decrease 2 single crochet (sc3tog). (Insert hook in next st, yo, draw yarn through st) 3 times, yo, draw yarn through 4 loops on hook.
Gauge
- Always take time to check your gauge.
- 10 sts and 11 rows sc = 4"/10cm

- 10 skeins of Berroco Suede, 100% nylon, 1-3⁄4oz/50g = 120yd/110m, in Hopalong (#3714)
- 4 skeins of Berroco Softy, 52% DuPont Tactel Nylon, 48% Nylon, 1-3⁄4oz/50g = 104 yd/95m, in Snow Bunny (#2901)
