It isn’t necessary to block the paisley edgings. However, if you would like them to lay flatter, place a stack of heavy books on the scarf ends overnight.

Finishing

Lay the scarf body flat, right side up. Divide the pairs of paisley motifs and place six of each color combination right side up on each end of the scarf body. Arrange as desired.

When you have the motifs arranged as you like, thread a tapestry needle with yarn and baste motifs to one end with a running stitch. Repeat on the opposite end. Fasten the ends of yarn well, to ensure the basting holds, as you’ll be turning the piece many times while joining motifs.

Using a G hook, join motifs to one another and to scarf ends with slip stitches in back loops of motifs or stitch them to the scarf with matching yarn. Blocking isn’t necessary. Remove basting stitches. Weave in all ends.
