Four Tried-and-True Frozen Drinks
These frosty treats are oldies but goodies—the Frank Sinatras of the frozen-drink world.
Frozen Margarita
Add a big plate of nachos into the equation, and you won’t even notice the scorching heat.
- 4 oz silver tequila
- 2 oz Cointreau
- 2 oz Rose’s lime juice
- 5 cups crushed ice
- Lime wedges for garnish
In a blender, combine liquids and ice and blend until smooth. Pour into margarita glasses and garnish. Yields 4.
Frozen Mango Margarita
If you’ve got some tequila, now is a good time to use it. Between the mango and the lime juice, you’ll hardly even taste the alcohol.
- 6 oz tequila
- 2 oz mango purée
- 2 oz Cointreau
- 4 splashes Rose’s lime juice
- 5 cups crushed ice
- Mango slices for garnish
In a blender, combine liquids and ice and blend until smooth. Pour into margarita glasses and garnish. Yields 4.
Frozen Banana Daiquiri
Feeling optimistic and a little prim? Then you’re in the perfect mood for this classic 1950s drink.
- 8 oz light rum
- 4 oz fresh sour mix
- 2 oz crème de banana
- 4 cups crushed ice
In a blender, combine ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into white wine glasses. Yields 4.
Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri
Frozen drinks are fun. Frozen pink drinks are irresistible.
- 8 oz light rum
- 2 oz strawberry liqueur
- 4 oz fresh sour mix
- 4 cups crushed ice
- Strawberry halves for garnish
In a blender, combine liquids and crushed ice and blend until smooth. Pour into white wine glasses and garnish. Yields 4.
