The Control Balance

  • Purpose: Stretches entire body and strengthens powerhouse
  • Sets: 10 repetitions on each leg

Steps

  1. Lie on mat on back with legs extended and arms by sides with palms down.
  2. Inhaling, pull back midsection. Exhaling, raise legs slowly until perpendicular to floor, pressing arms into mat for balance.
  3. Inhaling, bring legs over head.
  4. Exhaling, grab left ankle. Inhaling, raise right leg toward ceiling. Exhaling, switch legs. Continue alternating legs. Exhaling, return legs over head.
  5. Inhaling, lower both legs to mat and return to original flat position.
