Side Effects
Side effects of thalidomide can be extremely serious and must be promptly reported to your health-care practitioner. Even a single dose can cause birth defects, and side effects can occur anywhere in the body.
- Common: stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, headache, tiredness, an overall feeling of unwellness, fainting, dizziness, muscle weakness, back pain, rash, fever, chills, sore throat, sinus irritation, infection, tingling, burning, numbness, or pain in the extremities
- Less Common or Rare: mood changes, agitation, dry mouth, dry skin, acne, nail problems, fungal skin infections, blistering skin, itching, sweating, gas, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, runny nose, tooth pain, rigid neck, swollen lymph glands, blood problems, anemia, blood in urine, decreased urination, impotence, liver inflammation, low blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, accidental injuries, convulsions
